Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Licensify ("the app") is provided by Bilal Akpınar, Türkiye, who is the data controller for the personal data described here (also the "veri sorumlusu" under Turkish Law No. 6698, KVKK). Contact: licensify@logicstray.com.

2. What we collect and why

a) Using the app without an account

• Progress and settings (answers, scores, exam history, chosen language, licence category, reminders) are stored only on your device. We do not receive them.
• Content downloads. The app downloads questions and pictures from Google Firebase Storage. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and basic device information to Google.
• Connection check. To tell whether you are online, the app briefly contacts clients3.google.com and cloudflare.com. No personal data is sent beyond what any connection reveals (IP address).
• Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not use push notification tokens.

b) If you sign in (optional)

You can sign in with Google or Apple to back up and sync your progress. We then process, through Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore:

• your name, email address (Apple lets you hide it with a relay address) and a user ID;
• your study data: interface language, target exam, level and XP, exam results and history, and your study plan;
• the time of your last sign-in.

Purpose: to provide the account and sync feature you asked for (legal basis: performance of a contract).

c) Reporting a question

If you report a question, we store the question ID, the reason you chose, the time, and your user ID if you are signed in (otherwise "anonymous"). Purpose: fixing content (legitimate interest).

d) Purchases (Licensify Pro)

Payments are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see your card details. To check whether you own Pro we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID, the product you bought, purchase and transaction identifiers, store country and device/OS version. We do not link this to your sign-in account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

e) School licence codes (only if your driving school gave you one)

When you enter a school code, we store the code's status, the date it was activated and last used, your platform (iOS/Android) and a scrambled (hashed) identifier of this installation of the app, so the code works on one phone only. The app never sends your name; your driving school may write your name or student number next to the code on its licence page, which we store for the school. The app checks the code with our server about once a day. If a code is not used for 90 days it expires. Purpose: providing the licence your school bought (legal basis: performance of a contract with your school / legitimate interest). This data is deleted when the school's licence is deleted, and at the latest 12 months after the licence ends.

f) Advertising (free version only)

Free users see ads from Google AdMob. Pro users see no ads. AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, ad interactions and diagnostic data, to show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud.

• EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any ad loads, Google's certified consent form asks for your choice. You can change it any time in Settings → Privacy choices.
• iOS: the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads are not personalised with it. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Legal basis: your consent where required (personalised ads); otherwise legitimate interest in funding the free version. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

3. Service providers

These providers may process data outside Türkiye and the EEA (mainly in the United States) under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your personal data.

4. How long we keep data

• Data on your device: until you delete it in the app or uninstall. The app also clears local data automatically after one month without use.
• Account data in Firestore: until you delete your account.
• Question reports: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
• Purchase records: kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as required by law and their policies.

5. Deleting your data

In the app, open Settings → Delete account (signed in) or Delete my data (no account). Deleting your account removes your Firestore profile, exam history and study plan and your sign-in account. You can also ask by email — see Delete your account.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or KVKK Article 11) you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to licensify@logicstray.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in Türkiye the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu (kvkk.gov.tr).

7. Children

Licensify is meant for people preparing for a driving licence exam and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Account data is protected by Firebase security rules so that only you can read your own records.

9. Changes

We will update this page when the app changes how it uses data and change the date above. For significant changes we will also tell you in the app.
